Tempe is home to Arizona State University and Tempe Town Lake! There are always several festivals and festivities happening at Tempe Beach Park throughout the year. You can take a stroll down Mill Ave for some yummy eats, great drinks, and a fun atmosphere! You’ll usually catch a street musician or two on Mill Ave, which is just steps away from ASU. Convenient shopping is just a couple miles away from ASU at Tempe Marketplace which has stores such as Barnes & Noble, The Buckle, Target, Forever 21, H&M, the Running Store, and so much more! Tempe Marketplace also has popular restaurants like King’s Fish House, Kabuki Japanese Grill, Gen Korean BBQ, and Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ.

If international food is your jam, then you’ll find most if not all of what you need in Tempe with its diverse mix of shops, restaurants, and people! Tempe is also home to Arizona’s only IKEA!!! IKEA is such a great place to shop for affordable furniture and home decor whether you’re decorating your new home or a dorm room…plus they have a yummy restaurant as the icing on the cake!

If the outdoors has your heart, then you can rent kayaks, paddleboards, or pedal boats among other watercraft at Tempe Town Lake! Take a stroll across the pedestrian bridge and walk past the Tempe Center for the Arts and all along the shoreline. Looking for more of a park feel? Hit up Kiwanis Park! Fancy yourself a hike, but don’t want to leave town? “A” Mountain is the place for you! Nestled right behind ASU and overlooking Tempe Town Lake, this is one of the best views in town!
