Phoenix is Arizona’s capital and is centrally located within the state and within what the locals call the “Valley of the Sun”. As the fifth-largest city in the U.S., Phoenix offers a diverse culture, plenty of outdoor adventure, professional sports teams, museums, and a plethora of real estate! Professional sports teams include the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Arizona Cardinals, Phoenix Coyotes, Phoenix Rising, Arizona Rattlers, and Arizona Diamondbacks. You’ll find many festivals and events in downtown Phoenix throughout the year. With the Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Gardens to the east, the sports stadiums and art culture downtown, and Ak-Chin Pavilion to the west, there is always something fun to do! If you have college in mind for yourself or your kids, you’ll find Grand Canyon University, several community colleges, and Arizona State University not far away. There are several museums to check out including the Heard Museum, Phoenix Art Museum, and the Phoenix Children’s Museum…and you can even get passes for free from the Phoenix Public Library to check out some of them!
